This is Journey with Prayer, prayer journey corresponding to
Speaker:our previous episode.
Speaker:He has told you, oh man, what is good. And what
Speaker:does the lord require of you but to do justice and to love
Speaker:kindness and to walk humbly with your god?
:8 taken from the NLT.
:Heavenly father, giver of life and the architect
:of community, we come to you with hearts full of
:gratitude for the beautiful diversity of
:life that you've woven around us.
:You who are just in all your ways, you've called us to act
:justly, to be the hands and feet of your righteousness on
:earth. And we
:thank you for your kindness that is saturated creation and for
:the love that compels us to extend the same grace to
:others. We
:acknowledge your sovereignty, and we walk humbly in the knowledge
:that your purposes are far greater than our
:understanding.
:Lord, as we contemplate the depths of your love and the breadth
:of your mercy, we are reminded of the transformational
:power of your spirit at work within us.
:Help us to be the purveyors of peace and ambassadors of
:reconciliation to mirror the mutuality of
:transformation that community development embodies,
:and to be equally impacted and renewed as we strive to impact
:others.
:May our actions reflect the heartbeat of your kingdom,
:where every voice finds resonance and every effort
:is laced with divine intention.
:Encourage our weary spirits when the road seems long and the
:progress slow. Plant within us the seed
:of perseverance. Tend it with your wisdom, and
:let it flourish in the manifestation of bridges built and lives
:uplifted. We are so
:humbled by the privilege of co laboring with you in the grand
:narrative of care and connection.
:For those we serve and for our own hearts, we pray for transformation that
:is deep and true. That the light of your
:presence guide us in ways that foster authentic
:community, instill hope, and celebrate the
:uniqueness of each individual. And we ask
:these things not for our glory, but for the honor of your name,
:knowing that in you, every moment of care is a step
:closer to reflecting your perfect love.
:Amen. So as you go through your
:week, I wanna encourage you to take the time to reflect,
:engage, and pray. Reflect by spending some
:quiet time this week, pondering Micah 6:8. In your
:daily life, how can you better practice justice, kindness,
:and humility? Reflect on instances where you could have
:responded differently and consider to embody these
:values moving forward. Engage,
:intentionally perform one simple act of kindness each day this
:week. It could be smiling at a stranger,
:leaving an encouraging note for someone, or helping a neighbor.
:Small gestures can have a big impact and draw us closer
:to the heart of community. And finally,
:pray. Here's 3 ways that you can pray.
:Pray for the strength and vision to see justice and love as
:daily actions, asking for opportunities to demonstrate
:these practical and achievable ways within your community.
:Pray for leaders in community work, that they find encouragement
:in their tasks and that their contributions lead to significant and
:compassionate outcomes. And lastly, pray for
:your personal transformation and your approach to community
:life. Ask for a heart that is attentive to the needs around
:you and for the humility to learn from every act of
:service you partake in. You can check the show
:notes for these references, prayers, and scriptures. Or to find out
