Leading Differently Together, APEST series introduction with Zach Mantaii

Passage

ESV (English Standard Version):

"And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ."

NLT (New Living Translation):

"Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ."

NIV (New International Version):

"So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."

Together, a pest series introduction with Zach

Speaker:

Manthey.

Speaker:

Rules. The prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and

Speaker:

teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry,

Speaker:

for building up the body of Christ. Until we all attain

Speaker:

to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the son of

Speaker:

God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the

Speaker:

stature here of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians

Speaker:

411 to 13 from the ESV.

Speaker:

Loving father, Other, we come with hearts full of gratitude,

Speaker:

acknowledging the beauty of your multifaceted nature

Speaker:

reflected in the diverse giftings that you've poured out on us and on the

Speaker:

body of Christ. You are the one true shepherd

Speaker:

guiding and nurturing us through the shepherds and teachers you have

Speaker:

placed in our lives. And we thank

Speaker:

you for the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the

Speaker:

shepherds, in the teachers, within the community of believers,

Speaker:

all working together for the common good and the edification

Speaker:

of your body. And father, we lift up

Speaker:

those within our communities who carry these diverse

Speaker:

giftings. Grant them wisdom, discernment, and a

Speaker:

deep sense of your presence as they serve your people.

Speaker:

And may they continue to strengthen and equip others for the work

Speaker:

of ministry, encouraging unity, and spiritual growth.

Speaker:

We also uphold those who are yet to recognize and embrace their

Speaker:

giftings. Praying that the Holy Spirit reveals and

Speaker:

ignites these gifts within them. Guide them into the deeper communion

Speaker:

and deeper communication with you, and enable them

Speaker:

to bless and build up the body of Christ.

Speaker:

God, we thank you that these gifts are accessible and that

Speaker:

you even let us utilize them in different seasons for your

Speaker:

versus even when we don't see them as our strengths. Because in

Speaker:

our weakness, you show yourself strong. As

Speaker:

we reflect on the Abundance of giftings that you've graciously

Speaker:

given us help us to be transformed by the

Speaker:

renewing of our minds. May we Approach these giftings

Speaker:

with humility and a desire to serve others,

Speaker:

embracing the diverse roles within the body of Christ.

Speaker:

Guide our steps and fill us with a deeper understanding

Speaker:

of your purposes for these giftings within the church

Speaker:

in our wider communities. In Jesus' name,

Speaker:

amen. So as you go out through

Speaker:

this week, I wanna encourage you. Take the time

Speaker:

to reflect. Reflect on the different giftings mentioned in

Speaker:

Ephesians 4 11 to 13, and consider how they

Speaker:

contribute to the health and unity of the body of Christ.

Speaker:

And engage, engage in conversations with

Speaker:

individuals in your community who exercise these gifts

Speaker:

and learn from their experiences and their insights.

Speaker:

And finally, pray. Pray for the church and the body of

Speaker:

Christ to flourish in the fullness of these giftings.

Speaker:

To be equipped for effective ministry. Here are 3 ways

Speaker:

that you can pray. Number 1, pray for the

Speaker:

church to recognize and embrace the diverse things

Speaker:

within the body of Christ, fostering unity and

Speaker:

maturity in the faith. Number 2,

Speaker:

pray for individuals to be open to the Holy Spirit's

Speaker:

leading and the discovery of their unique giftings that they

Speaker:

may joyfully and humbly serve their communities.

Speaker:

And number 3, pray for your personal

Speaker:

transformation, asking god to renew your heart put in

Speaker:

mind and guide you in embracing and expressing the

Speaker:

diverse giftings that are in you and within the body with

Speaker:

Christ. You can check the show notes for these references,
